April 6th and 7th, 2013 a landmark conference on ‘integrative oncology’ took place on the campus of the School of Medicine at UC San Diego. The 2 day weekend session was organized by the faculty of the Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM), and led by Gorden Saxe, MD, Gene Kallenberg, MD and Lauray MacElhern, a bevy of talented UCSD medical school faculty, world class conference faculty including T. THE University of Cape Town (UCT) Graduate School of Business and the V&A Waterfront on Tuesday announced the launch of Workshop 17, an innovation hub that will be South Africa’s equivalent of MIT, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

This is the latest initiative in the country to foster innovation, which is seen as a way to facilitate economic development and create jobs.
